Aimed at content creators (illustrators, photographers, designers, videographers, influencers, etc.), this training course covered the monetisation models available on the Swiss market. Led by the agency Ohooo GmbH<\/a><\/span>, with feedback from Valais-based streamer Sandro (Twitch), it offered concrete tools for building a stable and consistent economic activity.<\/p>

A Swiss market on a human scale<\/h3>

The fragmented and multilingual Swiss market offers specific opportunities: smaller but engaged communities and a direct relationship with the public. This favours monetisation models based on trust, regularity and authenticity.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The six monetisation models presented<\/h3>
  1. Partnerships and sponsored content
    <\/b>Collaborations are possible even for small accounts, provided that values, content and community are aligned.<\/li>
  2. Affiliate marketing
    <\/strong>Commissions on sales generated via personalised links. Relevant in niche markets, to be used consistently.<\/li>
  3. Advertising via platforms
    <\/strong>Passive model based on view volume (e.g. YouTube), but not very profitable without a large audience.<\/li>
  4. Subscriptions and memberships
    <\/strong>Direct support from the community on platforms such as Patreon, Substack or Ko-fi. Predictable income, greater independence.<\/li>
  5. Product sales
    <\/strong>Online shops for physical or digital products (stickers, photos, 3D models, etc.). Attractive margins if well exploited.<\/li>
  6. Long-form content
    <\/strong>Podcasts, newsletters, articles. Engaging formats, suited to platforms that pay for time spent (Medium, Substack, Spotify, etc.).<\/li><\/ol>

    Focus on Twitch: Sandro’s experience<\/h3>

    Twitch allows you to generate revenue through:<\/p>

    • Subscriptions (no particular benefits, but no adverts)<\/li>
    • Bits (not very relevant in Switzerland)<\/li>
    • Affiliation (access to advertising after certain criteria have been met)<\/li>
    • External sponsorship (promotion of visible personalities)

      <\/li><\/ul>

      The key to success:<\/b> use other platforms to increase your visibility. Twitch alone is not enough.<\/p>

      In summary:<\/h3>
      • Without an engaged community, there is no sustainable model.<\/li>
      • Diversifying your sources of income limits the risks.<\/li>
      • What works is what remains consistent with your universe.<\/li>
      • Creating quality content on a regular basis is essential.<\/li>
      • Legal aspects (transparency, taxation, VAT) must not be overlooked.<\/li>
